MICHAEL MILLER
Michael Miller is the founder and principal of MILLERGROUP, established in 1995. Michael is licensed as a Private Investigator with 30 years of investigative and security experience in the public and private sectors, including a background in law enforcement.
Prior to forming MILLERGROUP, Michael managed investigations for Gavin de Becker & Associates, an internationally recognized threat assessment and security-consulting firm. Michael's responsibilities included managing and conducting sensitive investigations regarding both threats against and the inappropriate pursuit of high profile media figures, corporate executives, and attorneys. Michael also conducted complex investigations for major entertainment, media and production companies, law firms, financial institutions, business management firms, accounting firms, and technology companies. These investigations included matters of corruption, theft, misrepresentation, and due diligence. Michael continues to maintain an ongoing relationship with the de Becker firm as an investigative consultant.
Michael is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He is also a graduate with highest honors of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Academy. Working as a Reserve Police Officer with the Santa Monica Police Department, he gathered significant hands-on law enforcement experience.
As a Criminal Fraud Investigator for the City of New York, Mr. Miller investigated allegations of fraud in the City's public assistance programs. He conducted extensive field investigations, adversarial interviews, forensic accounting, and prepared cases for prosecution by the District Attorney's Office. As a private investigator in New York State, he conducted insurance fraud investigations for the largest insurance companies and insurance defense law firms.
